These signs are made from a reasonably sturdy corrugated plastic. It is thick enough to be somewhat abuse resistant. The corrugation creates a honeycomb effect, and the steel frame simply slips inside the honeycomb corrugations. Assembly is as simple as that and takes just seconds. It seems quite secure and has so far handled wind and weather.The legs are stiff and slipped easily into typical lawn soil. On very hard, compacted soils the legs might not insert by hand. The steel is reasonably thick and stiff so for most soil situations it should pose no problem.The plastic seems quite durable and the printing appears to be UV resistant. Time will tell. Being plastic it sheds water and is rotproof unlike cardboard signs. After inspecting these signs I've concluded that each sign should last for years being directly exposed to sun and rain. I am very pleased with this product.Finally, the unit cost per sign is just $5.50 currently, a bargain in my view, earning this product five stars.
