I love this little wooden "one" banner! It comes in parts and you have to assemble it, but it's not at all difficult. The only thing that could be improved is the string is a bit thick for the holes in the letters, which makes it want to separate and fray by the time you shove it through six holes. I made it work by re- twisting it and dampening it so it would stick straight through the holes, so it wasn't a big deal. But something for the seller to consider, maybe a skinnier string in the future. Overall it was definitely cute and very worth it! We did this instead of a candle, and it was very easy to tape the stakes to the sides of a bowl since we did not have a cake (our babies don't eat grains at this age). It stood up well and was not flimsy at all, like other cake toppers I have used in the past. I suspect if it were stuck into an actual cake it would be even better, the ends are pointed for exactly that purpose. It's a great product and I definitely recommend it. The super cute wooden letters would go with a multitude of first birthday designs and themes too, it's very versatile.
This little topper is super cute and on theme for my son's first birthday party. I'm doing the 'wild one -- where the wild things are' theme and this topper will match great. It's super easy to put together and all of the pieces are provided. Will look great on top of his birthday cake!
